2023 Summer School is open to all students KDG - 8th Grade DATES: June 1 through June 28 Registration for summer school is due no later than April 6. Students enrolled after the deadline may be added to a waiting list. Fill out the form for each child you plan on sending to summer school. The link to access the form is located at the top of the district web page and in the NEWS area.

Central Elementary- Be a Heart Hero by wearing your favorite Sports or Super Hero tomorrow, Wednesday, March 8th.

Central Elementary- The Book Fair and Family Reading night has been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 7th from 5:30-7:00. Classes will be scheduled to visit the book fair at school next week from Tuesday-Friday.

Central Elementary- AMI assignments for Thursday, February 2nd.. 3rd grade- Read AR book for 30 minutes and write one paragraph about that book, write spelling words 3 times each, study math facts, and grammar. 4th grade- Read AR book for 30 minutes and write two paragraphs about that book, write spelling words 3 times each, study math facts, and study grammar. 5th grade- Read AR book for 30 minutes and write two paragraphs about that book, write spelling words 3 times each, study math facts, and states/capitols. Paragraph will be turned into homeroom teacher and spelling words will be turned into ELA teacher when we return to school.

Central Elementary- Due to incoming inclement weather, there will be NO after school tutoring today at Central. Also, the Book Fair and Family Reading Night has been postponed for tonight. It is rescheduled for Thursday, February 2nd from 5:30-7:00.

Central Elementary- There is NO AIM after school tutoring on Monday, November 21st.

Central Elementary- Canned food drive begins on Monday, November 14th and will end on Tuesday, December 13th. The canned goods will be donated to the Stoddard County Gospel Mission Food Bank. The school with the most cans will have cookies, and the class collecting the most will have donuts.

Central Elementary- Don't forget to wear Red, White, and Blue for the Veteran's program today!!

On Monday, October 31, Dexter High School will open our “Haunted Hallways” from 5:00-6:30 pm. We thank you for supporting this event by sending candy to Southwest and Central elementary schools. We can’t wait to see all the little bearcat ghosts and goblins tomorrow night!!

Central Elementary- We are asking students to bring $3 to help cover the cost of snacks, candy, and activities for the Fall Party. Please send the money to your child's teacher by October 19th. The Fall Party is scheduled for Monday, October 31st.

Central Elementary- DHS Student Council is asking for your help by donating bags of candy to be used at the Trunk or Treat. Candy will be collected from October 3rd to October 27th. The homeroom class collecting the most candy will receive a pizza party.

Central Elementary- Monday, August 23rd from 5:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m. will be Meet the Teacher night! Central students and parents are encouraged to drop-in during that time to meet their new teacher and drop off school supplies.

MS Athletic Update Fall Sports practices will begin the week of August 16th. In order to begin practicing, all athletes must have a physical on file in the office. MS Football practice will take place from 7-9am at the field. MS Cross Country practice will be from 7-8am at Hidden Trails Country Club. MS Football cheer will be from 9-10:30am in the MS gym. MS Girls Basketball will begin practicing after school on Wednesday, September 1.

Our baseball team will be playing at home today for the Class 4 District 1 Championship against Kennett. First pitch is set for 5:00. Come out and support our players and coaches! Go Bearcats!!
