This message is for parents of 7th graders. There is an informational meeting tonight (11/7) at 6:00 in the MS cafeteria about the 2026 Teens to DC trip.

MS - Tomorrow, Nov 5. is an AMI day. Students will receive work through their Google Classrooms. There will be no teachers or students on campus tomorrow. We will return to school Wednesday. Thank you!

Jr. Beta is hosting a Haloween Dance at the Middle School tonight, October 24 from 6:00 - 8:00 in the MS gym. Only Middle School students are allowed to attend. Once students are dropped off they will not be permitted to leave the dance until they are picked up. If students leave the dance, they can't return. It is a good idea to make a pick up plan with your student. You can use the traditional pick up lines, meet in the teacher parking lot or church parking lot., or you can use the HS back lot as a meeting place. Students will not cross Brown Pilot. They will use the cross walk and the grass in front of the tennis courts if meeting in those directions. Concessions will be available for purchase at the dance. Students can pay $5.00 at the door if they havn't purchased a ticket. Thanks a have a great day!

On Thursday, October 24, Beta will sponsor a Halloween Dance at Middle School from 6:00-8:00. Tickets are on sale for $5.00 during lunch at the concession stand. There will be a costume contest also!

Middle School report cards for 1st quarter are located in your Infinite Campus parent portal. Click on Documents then choose Report Card to view grades for all classes. If you need assistance setting up your parent portal stop by the MS office. Thank you!

1st Quarter ends this Friday, October 18. Final grades for 1st quarter will be posted in the parent portal of Infinite Campus on October 18 . Students will not bring home a report card. In the next few days you will be contacted by teachers. If your student has a D or F in a course they will schedule a meeting with you. Conferences will be by appointment only and can be in person or by phone. Contact will be made through Infinite Campus. These messages go to your IC parent portal and the email address you provided at registration. If you haven't set up your parent portal, you can come to the MS office for assistance with this. It is important to set up the parent portal so we have accurate contact information..

Today is mid-quarter for 1st quarter. You can view your student's grades through the Infinite Campus parent portal. If you cannot access the portal, your account may not be completely set up or you have not completed the required online registration for your student/s. To complete the registration process you need to bring proof of residency, your child's birth certificate, and shot record to the MIddle School office. Thank you and have a nice evening.

The 7th/8th-grade BEARCAT FOOTBALL team will play New Madrid at home on Thursday, September 12th, beginning at 4:00 pm. The game was initially scheduled to start at 5:30 pm but was moved up due to the weather forecast.

Parents/Guardians of 8th Graders:
Letters regarding immunizations went home recently. with students who require immunizations. The last day for them to be in school without an updated immunization record is Wednesday, 9/4.

The MS dance is this Thursday, August 29 from 6:00 - 8:00. The theme is Jungle Safari! Only Dexter MS students are allowed at the dance and admission is $1.00 at the door.

T.S. Hill Middle School students and parents are invited to an open house on Thursday, August 22nd from 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm. We will meet in the gymnasium for introductions at 5:30 and then release 7th/8th grade students and parents to visit classrooms. Students who received a BETA invitation should go to the cafeteria for an informational meeting. 6th-grade students and parents will remain in the gym for a brief orientation.

Middle School will be MAP testing this week, May 6-10, in all grades. Free breakfast will be provided daily.

Free Physical Day will be held at Mercy Hospital(N. One Mile Road) tomorrow, May 2nd, from 3:30-5:00 pm for any incoming 6-12 student that plans to participate in sports and/or band. A MSHSAA physical form will be on hand in the HS and MS office. Students should complete the first three pages before meeting with the healthcare provider. A parent/guardian signature is required on the form. The school will only need a copy of the last page. We encourage all student athletes to get a physical. Thanks again to Mercy Hospital for providing this service for our students.
